This  roll out of  Technology Today is all about the NEW chip company, Ampere - founded by Intel's very own Renee James!

Ampere has launched their first chip - the custom core Armv8-A 64-bit server. It operates at up to 3.3 GHz with 1 TB of memory - all with power of 125 watts! This chip is based on designs from ARM Holdings - tech super-giant, "Architecting a smarter world and transforming lives through innovation".

James' goal as CEO is to make a footprint on hyper-scale cloud applications and corporate data centers. This is no small feat - James, Intel alum of 28 years, has assembled her team of tech experts to create the NEW chip and future launches that are in Ampere's pipeline! The start-up embodies 300+ employees thanks to their backing from  The Carlyle Group

Ampere has been a few years in the making, but was kept under wraps until its semiconductor chips were ready. Oracle, Microsoft and Lenovo, alike are currently testing them out!

Pricing has yet to be release, however, James promises that it will be unsurpassed - in both price and performance! We are salivating at the big reveal!

Until next time, Techies!
